However ridiculous and over the top Serena Williams' infamous outburst at that lineswoman was, it seems all the more absurd and cruel after reading this SI.com piece.

Kudos to Jon Wertheim for getting the interview with the lineswoman, Shino Tsurubuchi, a look into her perspective which was incredibly humanizing and incredibly overdue.

Early in the tournament all the chatter about Venus Williams' dress was about the enormous slits in the front.

But as that initial shock has worn off, the conversation has shifted to the ridiculous brown undergarments she is wearing underneath, especially how it looks like there is absolutely nothing there in the back from a distance. It just doesn't look right on TV as she moons the audience with every serve.

In the most epic match that nobody ever saw, Barbora Zahlavova Strycova defeated qualifier Regina Kulikova in 4 hours, 19 minutes.

Sadly the end of this match didn't live up to its beginning. The match started Monday, where it took four hours for the two players to reach 4-3 in the third. The first two sets alone took over three hours.
