The Murray loss shocked me

and Fish being handled by djokovic right now

Ryan Miller was the true MVP.
I really hate Jerry.

Real dissapointing from Mardy...

I expected a lot more from him….

Go Sam…

He seemed exhausted today, good run for him though. Djokovic getting into form here.

Yah a disappointing end.

Fish did not look good. Fatigue? He scraped by Clement a person he should’ve beat in 3, IMO.

Sharapova holds late in the second, in a great game where she saved match point. She is still down a break to Wozniacki who can serve for the match here.

Thats game...

Wozniacki holds to move into the quarters.

Errors were the name of this game for Sharapova, and that spelled trouble against the consistent Wozniacki. A competitive match between the two, and if Sharapova can clean up here game today it may have been her’s, that being said Caroline Wozniacki played very well today, and of course very consistently.

I wonder how she will compete against a hard hitter, with Kusnestva out, she should get to the finals for the 2nd straight year, but the other side of the draw contains some big power hitters, and some big competition. She be a good one.

Say what?

Uh, didn’t Wozniacki just face one of the biggest hitters in the game? The Dane can handle power because she absorbs it like a sponge. She doesn’t mind facing power-hitters. She also beat Kuznetsova last year at the U.S. Open.

I think she can handle power, but she I also she think she can be hit right off the court (2009 US Open Final), although she is in good form now. Sharapova also gave away as many points as she took. Not trying to take anything away from her, she has been playing awfully well this summer.

Quarters here we come

That Clijsters quarter is loaded. Stosur and Clijsters are both hard hitters and either Williams or Schiavone could win this whole thing. Good thing for Wozniacki is that if she makes it to the finals she only has to face one of them.

Unfortunately for Fish, Djokovic seemed unstoppable today, of course Fish’s poor play didn’t help. Djokovic’s semifinal match with Federer could be a real cracker, that is unless Soderling upsets Fed again (very possible), or Monfils upsets Djokovic (very unlikely).

Fun fact

At an ATP tournament I saw Melzer in the bathroom. He was about to play doubles, I did not know the ettiquette and just kinda played it cool and did not say anything.
