The Outer Courts - U.S. Open Day 3

NEW YORK - AUGUST 30: Flavia Pennetta of Italy returns a shot against Irina Falconi of the United States during the Women's Singles first round match on day one of the 2010 U.S. Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on August 30 2010 in the Flushing neighborhood of the Queens borough of New York City. The show courts aren't the only courts with long matches, plenty of them on the outside courts as well.

A good mix of everything on Wednesday on Courts 4-17.

Court 4:

Agnes Szavay vs. Flavia Pennetta - Lots of good ground stroking and baseline points in this one.  Could go 3.

Court 5:

Jelena Jankovic/Bojana Jovanovski vs. Kimiko Date-Krumm/Ayumi Morita - Women's doubles action, see Jelena Jankovic up close on this court.

Court 7:

Sergiy Stakhovsky vs. Peter Luczak - See one of the promising young players in men's tennis in Stakhovsky.

Court 11:

Ryan Harrison vs. Ivan Ljubicic - Harrison is a promising young American, Ljubicic is an aging veteran player.  A good contrast.

Sam Stosur vs. Anastasia Rodionova - Due to all the other big matches, Stosur is pushed to Court 11.  Also a good match.

Doubles is starting up as well.  More great matches to come.
