Serena Advances

After a 6-0 first set, but Cibulkova (sp?) put up a fight in the second set holding serve until the final game, going down 7-5. Serena’s ace was deadly today with 20 aces, but early in the second set her backhand was a little off. I would say Cibulkova played well, more then Serena was playing bad, so credit to Cibulkova for not going away after the goose egg in the first set.
Cibulkova had game point to go into the tie break, but Serena’s service return gave her three straight points to give her the win.

Soderling up 2 sets, tied 4-4 in the third right now. Soderling looking really good so far today.

Soderling is really making my pick for him to win this whole thing look more and more reasonable each round…

Uruguay might be the “Soderling” of The World Cup

Have to agree, I would not want to play Soderling right now…Berdych is also a darkhorse.

Your coverage was great, I clicked over on ESPN 3 to see it, what a joke, he just wanted to be a jerk and he succeeded. The sad thing is, he’s a pretty talented player. He’ll get fined bigtime!

Wow, Flavia Pannetta who I think has one of the prettiest games to watch and is technically a solid player on any surface got smoked by someone I’ve never seen play before.

Nadal drops the second set against Petschner…holding serve pretty well. Nadal broke Petschner opening serve in the 1st, and Petschner broke Nadal’s last serve in the second.

Ben:
Stop putting the strawberries & cream pics up as the picture of the day. It’s making me hungry.

I don’t know if strawberry and cream has ever looked less enticing than in that pic
