Five American Men in French Open Qualifying Finals
This may be some sort of record, but five American men are trying to get into the main draw at The French Open the hard way, through three rounds of qualifying.
The five trying to get in are: Jesse Witten, Michael Yani, Ryan Harrison, Ryler DeHeart, and Alex Bogomolov Jr.
Witten, Yani, and Bogomolov Jr. look to have good chances at getting in. DeHeart has a tough task against Teimuraz Gabashvili of Russia, and Harrison plays Stefano Galvani of Italy, who I know nothing about off the top of my head.
Should a player lose in the finals of qualifying, they still stand a chance of getting in the draw with late withdraws, etc.
Good luck to the American contingent on the red clay.
