Star-divide

Seventeen year old Christina McHale's run ended in the round of 16 when she was defeated by fellow American, 13th seeded Melanie Oudin. While McHale played Oudin tough for a set, Oudin had too much firepower from the baseline and McHale was bageled in the second set.

It was a great run for McHale who coming into this week was ranked #192 in the world, and had to battle through 2 qualifying rounds just to get into the main draw. The 60+ points McHale earned this week will vault her up about 30 spots in the WTA rankings.

Should be interesting to see how McHale builds on this result the rest of the spring and into the summer. She is now on a lot of player's radars.
