PrintHow about this for a semi-final matchup... Florian Mayer of Germany against Leo Mayer of Argentina. It happened yesterday at the Challenger event in Sunrise, Florida.
The German fares better on the hardcourts and he came ot on top winning 6-3 in the 3rd. I guess this makes Florian the "Mayer" of Sunrise, FL.
Florian now plays Gilles Simon of France in the finals. This is a Challenger event that has 3 players ranked in the top 40 in the world. It attracts players who lose early in Indian Wells and are waiting for the Key Biscayne tourney to start. Many ATP 250 events would love to have the draw this 125,000 Challenger had.
