In the second set of her quarterfinal in Los Angeles vs. Urszula Radwanska, Maria Sharapova was broken four times and hit an unbelievable eleven double faults. In one set.

She hit twenty second serves, and eleven of them didn't go in the box. Yes, second serves. Not just that she was losing points on her second serve--she didn't even get half of her second serves in play. Unbelievable.

Even more unbelievably, she won the set. Sharapova moved on to the semifinals with a straight sets victory, to the tune of 6-4, 7-5.

Urszula Radwanska should truly be ashamed.

I hope you were luckier than I was and managed to miss seeing this match. But even if you didn't see it, I'm guessing you could smell this stinker.

I was unlucky....

…and saw it. Maria won’t get it together in time for a U.S. Open run. She’s gifting a lot of sets since her return…
