I wish the seedings were more newsworthy...

I’m in favor of subjecting seedings at every slam. Having Safina be at #1 just doesn’t make sense, nor does having Kanepi ahead of Sharapova and Clijsters.

I think, though, that the US Open people learned their lesson about subjective seeding. Unless they publish some formula like Wimbledon does for messing with seeds, they should probably leave them alone, despite everyone knowing Dinara is NOT the favorite going in. Maria and Kimmie have about an equal chance of winning as Dinara, IMO.
